Azalide
Azithromycin 500 mg
Why It Works
- Azalide azithromycin, an antibiotic that comes in 500 mg tablets. Azithromycin belongs to a class of antibiotics known as macrolides and works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, thus preventing them from reproducing and spreading. Azalide is commonly used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory infections (like bronchitis and pneumonia), skin infections, ear infections, and sexually transmitted diseases (such as chlamydia). Typically, it is prescribed for short courses, often a single dose or over a few days, depending on the condition being treated. Azithromycin is favored for its convenience due to its relatively long half-life, meaning it often requires fewer doses compared to other antibiotics.
- Important: Azalide is a prescription medicine. Consult a doctor before use and take it only as prescribed.
